Foodie Fridays: Brunch Is Now Available At Q-BBQ!

Although someone else coined the phrase "Finger Lickin' Good," C-Style quickly found out that the same thing can be said of Q-BBQ's new weekend brunch at their Lakeview location.

We paid a visit during a December Open House and were treated to several of Q-BBQ's new brunch menu items. Q-BBQ is a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand-winning restaurant (2012, 2013) that specializes in authentic barbecue featuring smoked Texas brisket, Carolina pulled pork, Memphis dry rub chicken wings and signature homemade side like Q-Pups and Mac-Q-Roni.

I selected the chicken and waffles (made with a bed of mashed potatoes, boneless, fried chicken breast, hickory smoked bacon, topped with spicy smoked maple syrup), and the turkey breakfast sandwich topped with hickory smoked bacon and an egg.

My colleague, Barbara, selected the pork breakfast sandwich topped with gouda cheese and an egg, and the Burnt End Hash (with spicy brussels and burnt ends from the brisket)  We also had plenty of yummy Brunch Fries which is a combination of  hand-cut golden potatoes tossed with garlic butter, shaved parmesan and chives.

While Barbara tried out the Bloody Mary (which she loved), I opted for the coffee.  The only drawback was that there was only one cup size and no options for decaf (at the time we visited).

Even though Q-BBQ is known for well - BBQ - the turkey breakfast sandwich was off the chain! There is absolutely nothing like good, smoked turkey!

All-in-all, if you want comfort food and not afraid to dig-in and use your fingers (because this is the kinda food fingers were made for), then do pay them a visit real soon.

The brunch menu is available at the Lakeview (714 W. Diversey Parkway) location on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with their regular barbecue menu.

Be sure to also visit Q-BBQ's other locations in Naperville and La Grange, Illinois.  For a look at the new brunch menu go online to www.q-bbq.com.
