Destinations: Escape To The South Beach Wine & Food Festival In Miami

Just when the winter blahs have set in comes one warm and bright spot to lift your spirits,  Wine and food enthusiasts alike have the option of escaping the cold at one of the most delectable and entertaining events in Southern Florida.

The 14th annual edition of the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE commences February 19th and runs through February 22, 2015.

All of your favorite events are back including the Amstel Light Burger Bash, Thrillist's Barbeque and the Blues, and of course, walk-around tastings and late-night parties.

Additionally, several new events have been added to the line-up like the Empanada Happy Hour - They’re turning things over to Bunbury Miami, the massive tire shop-turned-restaurant where homemade empanadas are anything but typical. This funky Wynwood space puffs and stuffs its empanadas with lamb, chicken & veggie, goat cheese & ratatouille and much more. You'll get the SOBEWFF vibe going as you enjoy a fusion of Argentinian and American cuisine and free-flowing wine from the Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida portfolio.

Grab your four-legged friend and get ready for a day of doggie fun in the sun at the new Yappie Hour presented by BarkBox hosted by Rachael Ray. This one-of-a-kind event will feature snacks and treats from Ray’s line of pet food, Nutrish® - while humans enjoy cocktails and bites provided by The Standard Spa Miami Beach. There will be an interactive photobook and other paw-perfect activities. A portion of the event proceeds will go to Rachael’s Rescue, benefitting the local non-profit organization Fairy Tails Adoption. The event takes place Saturday, February 21, 4-6PM, at The Standard Spa Miami Beach. Tickets are $95.

Carnivores get ready – the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Meatopia: The Q Revolution is a meat lovers paradise. And who better to host this event than Food Network rockstar Guy Fieri and James Beard Award-winning Esquire writer, and Miami native, Josh Ozersky.

SOBEWFF’s signature event, The Q, has evolved into a “bacchanal of pork, beef, lamb, chicken, duck, turkey, and quail” where chefs celebrate the whole animal with their all-wood-fired custom dishes that will be created just for this event.

Everything you’ve loved about The Q remains true – more than 30 notable chefs, bourbon galore and that iconic South Beach soiree vibe.

The event takes place Saturday, February 21, 7-10PM, beach side at Delano. Tickets are $250.
