Foodie Fridays: Pepcid Tastemakers Visits Chicago's Intro With Food Network Star Ted Allen

Monday, June 29th, PEPCID and Eater joined together to host the Tastemakers dining experience at Chicago's chic Intro restaurant.  The event was hosted by Food Network star (Chopped, All-Star Academy),Ted Allen, and featured a menu curated by current Chef-in-Residence, Erik Anderson and Chef Matthew Kirkley, partner of Intro.

Chicago tastemakers had the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes before dinner and visit with the chefs and their staff as they prepared one-of-a-kind appetizers for guests paired with wine.

Ted Allen and executives from PEPCID explained the concept behind the Tastemakers tour and how PEPCID can help "foodies" still enjoy their eating experience by using the product to "fight-off" the symptoms that sometimes occur when you indulge in certain types of foods.

"I'm excited to join the PEPCID brand on its journey to empower foodies in their pursuit and discovery of new tastes," said spokesperson Ted Allen. "Whether trying new restaurants or tasting dishes on-set, I keep PEPCID products on-hand because they act fast and last, taste great, and prevent my heartburn from getting in the way of enjoying a variety of bold flavors."

The menu itself consisted of four amazing courses:

1st Course: Smoked Salmon, Spinach, Anchovy Butter paired with 2014 Rose "Sabine"
2nd Course: Bisquit De Homard paired with 2013 Chardonnay
3rd Course: Filet De Boeuf, Foie Gras, Pea Tartlet, Black Truffle paired with 2012 Vacqueyras
4th Course: Peach Melba paired with 2012 Monbazillac "Les Pins"
