Destinations: Andrew Zimmern Teams Up With Renaissance Hotels To Host "The Navigators Table."

Andrew Zimmern, three-time James Beard winner and host of the Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods," recently visited Chicago to help Renaissance Hotels kick-off their partnership along with Food & Wine magazine.  Zimmern joined Chicago tastemakers and trendsetters, Billy Dec, restaurateur and tv personality, Lee Wolen, executive chef and partner of BOKA, and Christina Grdovic, senior vice president and publisher of Food & Wine, among others, for an intimate look at food experiences specifically curated for travelers.

"As a guest navigator at The Navigator's Table, and with help from my chef friends, we'll give travelers and guests access to food experiences they never imagined." Zimmern hinted.

Exclusive content will air on RenHotels.com and on Renaissance Hotels YouTube channel.

"Renaissance Hotels embraces discovery, the extraordinary and the rarified experience as much as I do and I couldn't be more excited to partner with them." Zimmern concluded.

In addition to the live taping of The Navigators Table, Zimmern navigated his way around the Renaissance Chicago's Artist Studio to meet and greet each guest attending the evening's kick-off party for the Chicago Food & Wine Festival.

A self-admitted "selfie-lover" Zimmern also posed with many admirers for photos as well as enjoyed sampling the evening's dining fare which he curated.

C-Style was able to have a one-on-one with Zimmern to find out more about his alliance with Renaissance Hotels.

"I love the whole concept of helping guests and travelers navigate the city they're in." Renaissance is providing an outlet to show them your version of your town -- not just the guide book version of the same places."

Zimmern also alluded to the fact that he'd love an invitation from some of Chicago's young chefs to collaborate on a pop-up dinner in the near future.
