Destinations: Events Around Chicago That We Loved!

There's never a dull moment in Chicago!  C-Style recently attended some great events that were all that!  From a sneak-peek from Tokyo's UNIQLO to celebrating 10 successful years with Carnivale; we really enjoyed ourselves!  Take a look.

Close your eyes. Now imagine for a moment, its mid-day  and you're in one of Tokyo's busiest subway stations. Complete with echos of boom boxes, the hottest street fashionista's, and colorful b-boys and b-girls breakin to the flyest female d.j. Tokyo has.

Now open, look around, and realize  you're  not in Tokyo at all.  Its 1:00p.m. downtown Chicago and you're  standing at the Wells/Washington  CTA "L" platform attending the UNIQLO Train Takeover to promote their 10/23 grand opening of the Chicago store located 830 N. Michigan Ave. (at Pearson St.)

Attendees  boarded the transformed CTA to sights and sounds of beats and breaks. Beats were provided an awesome female dj, and the breaks were performed by two very talented dancers. Guests were treated to door prizes consisting of delicious Japanese  candy and Uniqlo Bento Boxes.

Uniqlo is an International Clothing Store who's philosophy  is that "This is LifeWear"! "It is apparel  that is of the time and for the time.Designed with basic Japanese values of simplicity,  quality and longevity to be always basic ,never boring ".

September 30th, The Indie Spirits Expo arrived at Chicago's Hilton Downtown Hotel.  Over 40 independent distillers of rum, vodka, whisky, tequila and other varietals introduced some of their finest product to both media, buyers and the general public.

Also, on September 30th, Carnivale restaurant celebrated 10 years of excellent latin-infused dining in Chicagoland with a once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza!  Diners were entertained, amused, and delighted by a live band, whimsical performers, an aerialist who poured champagne-on-the-house, a burlesque dancer, a dj, and, of course, delicious cuisine!
