Artists, designers and more are gathering for this philanthropic night. Featuring pieces for auction by artists Katrina Jackson of VH1’s Black Ink Crew, Joey Africa, Miriam Zuckerman, Rome Won, and Goons. The Halloween Gathering - Join The Cultural Mile Association for a spook-tacular day of ghouls, ghosts, goblins and a "Thriller" Flash Mob! This powerful event will gather Chicago’s vast and diverse creative communities for an all-day festival culminating with a magical nighttime parade.
Drawing together world-renowned institutions including the Field Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Columbia College Chicago and the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, as well as unique local organizations like Louder Than a Bomb, Silent Theatre Company, and guilds of artists in assorted fields, this dramatic display will activate Halloween as the “artist’s holiday” along one of the most prestigious cultural avenues in the world.
The Halloween Gathering After Party will electrify the night at the Plaza at Millennium Park on the Chicago Cultural Mile! From 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM on October 24, 2015, celebrate the night in costume with live music from local artists, food, drinks, and interactive art installations by George Berlin.
