December 9th -

AC Hotels by Marriott has partnered with influential travel blogger, Brian Kelly of The Points Guy to host a meet up in Chicago on 12/9, where travel enthusiasts, loyal readers of The Points Guy and Marriott Rewards Elite members will get exclusive access to tips and tactics that road warriors need to know in order to maximize their rewards points, followed by a Q&A and meet and greet with Brian and his team.

December 10th -

As the culmination of its month-long #GetOutHere social media campaign urging followers to exercise outdoors during the winter, Nike has turned a barge on the Chicago River into a floating gym.  The gym is a white quasi-open-air structure emblazoned with the Get Out Here logo and is docked along the Riverwalk between Wabash Avenue and Wacker Drive.  Free daily workouts are available December 10, 11 and 12.  Go HERE to register!



December 11th -

Santa has checked into the Swissotel Chicago!

Take a peek into Swissotel Chicago’s Santa Suite! Starting on Dec. 1, a 41st-floor, 5-room Presidential Suite is transformed into a stunningly whimsical display, only suitable for a visit from Mr. Claus.

This over-the- top space is decorated in the spirit and magic of the season, complete with six Christmas trees, a table set for Santa and his reindeer, and snacks and giveaways to spread good cheer.

SCHEDULE

Santa needs to catch some sleep while he's in town, so we ask that guests only visit during certain hours:

Dec. 3: 3 to 8 pm
Dec. 5-6: 10 am to 8 pm
Dec. 11: 3 to 6pm
Dec. 12: 10 am to 4 pm
Dec. 13: 10 am to 8 pm
Dec. 16 3 to 8 pm
Dec. 17 5 to 8pm
Dec. 18: 3 to 8 pm
Dec. 19: 1 to 8 pm
Dec. 20: 10 am to 8pm
Dec. 21-24: 3 to 8 pm

On December 12th and 19th, Santa will be taking a break from working in the toy shop to visit us at Swissotel Chicago. Everyone is welcome to visit with Santa from 11 am to 4 pm on December 12th and 1 to 4pm on December 19th.

RATES

In the spirit of the holidays, visiting the Santa Suite is FREE for both Swissotel guests and the public, but is available for private group visits and holiday receptions for up to 100 people.
